3rd NOC Open Day For Minsk 2019 European Games Concludes
The third NOC Open Day for the Minsk 2019 European Games concluded in the Belarusian capital today.
The two-day visit consisted of a series of meetings designed to keep sports administrators abreast of preparations for the 2nd European Games.
On Wednesday, Minsk European Games Organising Committee (MEGCO) briefed Chefs de Mission, Games Services Managers, Sports Directors and others from the 50 NOCs on a range of functional areas, including NOC relations and services, accommodation, transport, customs, catering and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Delegates were also given a tour of the Minsk Arena, Dinamo Stadium, Chizhovka Arena and the Athletes’ Village.
On Thursday, updates on security, medical services, doping control, ticketing, and information technology were given.
The European Games will take place on 21-30 June and feature over 4,000 of Europe’s best athletes in 15 Olympic and non-Olympic sports, many of which will act as qualifiers for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
