The ANOC Awards 2019 was held on 17 October at the Katara Cultural Village in Doha, Qatar and attracted representatives from across the world’s 206 NOCs.

The ceremony was focused on the Continental Games and celebrated the Best Male Athlete and Best Female Athletes of each of the five Continental Games which had taken place over the previous 18 months. There were also Outstanding Performance and Outstanding Athlete awards, as well as an Outstanding Lifetime Achievement award and Contribution to the Olympic Movement award.

The ceremony was broadcast live on ANOC’s YouTube Channel and Qatar’s National Television station, Al Kass.

In addition to the Awards themselves, the global audience was able to enjoy breath-taking performances from entertainment groups reflecting the importance of blending culture and sport in the Olympic Movement.
