After a one year break, the ANOC Awards returned in style in 2021 as it celebrated the best athletes and NOCs from the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful Creta Maris Beach Resort on 24 October 2021 and was broadcast live on Greek channel ERT and streamed on the ANOC YouTube channel. Delegates from nearly 150 NOCs were in the amphitheatre to watch the spectacular ceremony in person.

Tokyo 2020 was a Games like no other and sent a message of hope and unity at a time when it was needed most. The ANOC Awards 2021 commemorated the athletes and NOCs who made Tokyo 2020 such a special and unforgettable event.

The winners of the Awards were selected by the ANOC Jury which comprises representatives from each of the Continental Associations, and the ANOC Secretary General.
