ANOC and IOC Host Joint NOC Debrief Session on Paris 2024
From 20 to 23 November, the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) welcomed 25 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to a feedback session at ANOC’s headquarters in Lausanne. The four-day event focused on analyzing lessons learned from the recently concluded Paris 2024 Olympic Games and formulating recommendations for the Los Angeles 2028 Games and beyond.
Bringing together representatives from NOCs across the globe, the session offered a platform for open dialogue on key topics, including NOC Services, the Olympic Village and its services, and diverse operational efficiencies. Participants discussed innovative solutions and shared experiences to enhance the planning and execution of future Olympic Games.
Speaking on the occasion, ANOC Secretary General Mrs. Gunilla Lindberg emphasized the significance of these collaborative discussions. She stated:
“These debrief sessions are vital for the Olympic Movement. They allow us to reflect on what worked well and identify areas for improvement. By listening to the experiences of NOCs, we can ensure that future Games continue to evolve, offering better experiences for athletes, organizers, and spectators alike.”
The collaboration underscores the commitment of both organizations to continuously improve the Olympic experience and fostering greater cooperation among all stakeholders in the Olympic family.
