ANOC Contributes to 46th EOC Seminar and IOC Olympic Solidarity Forum

The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) contributed to the 46th European Olympic Committees (EOC) Seminar and IOC Olympic Solidarity Forum, held on 9–10 October 2026 in Split, Croatia. Hosted by the Croatian Olympic Committee, the event brought together European National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to exchange knowledge, share best practices and strengthen preparations for upcoming major sporting events.

Ahead of the Seminar, ANOC Secretary General Mrs Gunilla Lindberg attended the EOC Executive Committee meeting on 8 October, where she provided updates on preparations for the XXVIII ANOC General Assembly in Hong Kong, China, as well as ANOC’s ongoing initiatives, including the Digital Accelerator programme and activities planned for the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026.

During the Seminar, ANOC contributed, alongside the International Olympic Committee (IOC), to the delivery of four Games Preparation Workshops, with ANOC representative Andres Santi taking part in and contributing to the sessions. The workshops focused on athlete selection procedures, cooperation among NOCs, technological opportunities to support delegations, and empowering athletes and team officials with essential Games information.

Building on the discussions and conclusions of these workshops, ANOC emphasised its ambition to further strengthen its role as a global platform for NOCs to exchange experiences, share best practices and develop practical solutions across all continents, fostering greater collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the Olympic Movement.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of the 11th Winter Piotr Nurowski Prize for the Best Young European Athlete to Ukrainian snowboarder Dmytro Luchkin, recognising his outstanding achievements and promising future in the sport.
