ANOC encourages NOCs to find innovative ways of celebrating Olympic Day 2020
ANOC has encouraged National Olympic Committees (NOCs) around the world to find innovative ways of celebrating Olympic Day 2020 at a time when many nations are still facing restrictions on organising mass-events.
Many NOCs have already announced their plans which stretch from activities on Olympic Day to an Olympic Week and even in some cases an Olympic Month. Planned activities vary from online workouts to fun runs, arts competitions and much more.
NOCs are also encouraged to take part in the IOC’s Olympic Day Workout which invites people of all ages and abilities to #StayStrong, #StayHealthy and #StayActive. The event will draw together Olympic stars from around the world to deliver a special celebratory workout live on the Olympic Channel.
The benefits of exercise are far reaching, from helping to reduce risk of illness and boost energy to improving mental health, assisting brain function and helping with sleep.
