ANOC Executive Council convenes in Lausanne and provisionally adopts Strategic Plan 2025–2028

The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) held its 92nd Executive Council meeting today at its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. The meeting brought together ANOC Executive Council members to discuss key strategic, governance and financial matters in preparation for the next phase of the organisation’s work.

The Council was honoured by the presence of IOC President Kirsty Coventry, who addressed members and emphasised the importance of ANOC’s role within the Olympic Movement. President Coventry highlighted the need to continue strengthening the engagement and representation of the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) through ANOC, ensuring that their collective voice remains central to the Movement’s evolution.

During the meeting, the Executive Council adopted the provisional ANOC Strategic Plan 2025–2028, which outlines the organisation’s strategic priorities for the next quadrennial. The plan will be reviewed by ANOC’s new leadership following the elections to be held during the ANOC General Assembly in Hong Kong from 8–10 December 2026.

In addition, the Executive Council approved the 2026 budget and provisionally endorsed the budgets for 2027 and 2028.

The meeting reaffirmed ANOC’s ongoing dedication to representing, connecting and empowering the 206 NOCs and to advancing collaboration across the Olympic Movement in the years ahead.
