ANOC to host second Digital Communications Seminar for NOCs

ANOC will host its second Digital Communications Seminar in Varese, Italy from 8-10 September, under the theme “Road to Dakar: Communicate. Engage. Inspire”, as ANOC continues to support NOCs to  enhance their communications.

With the Dakar 2026 on the horizon, the Seminar aims to equip NOCs with the tools to maximise their impact in the lead up to and during the Youth Olympic Games.

The Seminar will build on the previous edition held prior to Paris 2024, and the ongoing work of the ANOC Digital Accelerator Programme, bringing together NOC communications staff for two and a half days of discussions, breakout sessions and practical exercises on the topics most relevant to their day-to-day operations.

The Seminar will also welcome representatives from the IOC and stakeholders from across the Olympic Movement, including organising committees for future events.

Their participation reflects a shared ambition across the Olympic Movement to work more closely together, build stronger synergies and become more effective and impactful in serving NOCs and their athletes.

Sessions will cover AI in sports communications, athlete storytelling and reaching new audiences, alongside case studies from NOCs and insights from partners PhotoShelter and SI (formerly Sportz Interactive).

Above all, the Seminar is designed to be collaborative and interactive through the large number of breakout sessions and group work, giving participants the chance to learn from one another and identify concrete ways to work together on the road to Dakar.
