Deliberations of the ANOC Finance & Audit Commission held remotely on 19 May 2021
The ANOC Finance and Audit Commission held its 11th meeting virtually on 19th May 2021, led by Chair Mrs. Dagmawit Berhane (Ethiopia) with the participation of the members Kramer Kenneth (Marshall Islands), Mennel Peter (Austria), Perez Julio (Uruguay), Caloia Beresford (PWC) and Palos Manuela (Finance Director).
Due to the global crisis of COVID-19, the Commission members did not meet in Lausanne at the ANOC Headquarters as per the tradition. Nevertheless, with the help of the ANOC Administration and all members of the Commission it was possible to conduct the meeting virtually with all members present. Regardless of the time differences and the technology challenges, the meeting was flawless with no interruption for two hours.
During the meeting, the minutes of the 10th meeting of the ANOC Finance & Audit Commission held remotely on July 27th, 2020 were approved.
The Commission was informed on the realization of the Budget during the year 2020 where the ANOC activities were very affected by the COVID-19, as most of the activities or events were cancelled or postponed.
The Commission revised the report presented by ANOC External Auditor, PWC on the audit of the Financial Statements of 2020 and the report will be presented to the next meeting of the ANOC Executive Council for approval.
The Commission was informed of the Budget for 2021-2024 and received the information on the realization of the budget for the first quarter of 2021.
The next meeting of the Finance and Audit Commission should take place on the occasion of the next ANOC General Assembly.
