Early registration reflects strong interest in XXVIII ANOC General Assembly

Preparations for the XXVIII ANOC General Assembly are progressing well, with early registration figures reflecting strong interest from across the Olympic Movement ahead of the gathering in Hong Kong, China, from 7 to 10 December 2026.

This year’s General Assembly will see the election of a new ANOC President as the term of current President Dr Robin Mitchell comes to an end, alongside the ANOC Awards 2026, honouring the best athletes from the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

With the first early-registration deadline now passed, hundreds of representatives from National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have already registered to attend.

Participation from the wider international sports community is also encouraging, with a strong number of International Federations (IFs) registering, while the Organising Committees of the Olympic Games LA28, Olympic Winter Games French Alps 2030 and Olympic Games Brisbane 2032 will also be represented in Hong Kong.

The IOC and all five Continental Associations have confirmed their participation alongside a number of other stakeholders, underlining the General Assembly as one of the Olympic Movement’s key meeting points.

Strong commercial interest

Alongside the growing number of delegates, the commercial and marketing programme is progressing well.

A number of exhibitors have already confirmed their participation, demonstrating strong interest in engaging directly with the global NOC community.

With more than three months to go until the General Assembly, early registration and commercial interest point towards a successful gathering of the world’s NOCs and the wider Olympic Movement.
