bilateral cooperation between NOCs of Kazakhstan and Serbia

Representatives of the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of Kazakhstan and Serbia met in Astana last week to strengthen cooperation and discuss key priorities on the international Olympic agenda.

The Kazakh delegation was led by NOC Secretary General Alimzhan Akayev and Sports Department Director Bektur Kiyatbay, while the Serbian side was headed by NOC President Dejan Tomasevic.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on preparations for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, and explored opportunities for cooperation in the lead-up to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The discussions also focused on expanding bilateral collaboration in the development of team sports, promoting the exchange of expertise, and implementing joint projects between the two National Olympic Committees.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Kazakhstan and Serbia to strengthening international sports partnerships and supporting the continued development of the Olympic Movement.
