Ghana Olympic Committee hosts 22nd Annual General Meeting
The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) hosted the 22nd Annual General Meeting at the Accra Hockey Stadium on 22 December 2020.
The meeting had been scheduled to take place in April or May 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
GOC President Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah delivered a detailed report which covered some of the good work that has been achieved by the GOC during 2020.
President Mensah explained how the GOC has enhanced administrative efficiency and embarked on an aggressive capacity building agenda for coaches, administrators, media attachés and NF members. He explained the financial support that GOC has provided National Federations and National Team Athletes during 2019/2020.
President Mensah also thanked Olympic Solidarity, the Commonwealth Games Federation and ANOCA for their support with development programmes. He discussed how the NOC is working hard to raise funding to support Ghana’s four athletes who have qualified for Tokyo 2020.
