Olympic Day celebrations begin in Cape Verde

The activities of the Olympic Day started on 21 June in Cape Verde, at the Chão Bom Lyceum of the II Group of Tarrafal, with 100 participants attending the sporting activities organized by the Varandinha Sports Group.

This first event was a real success, and the diversity of the participants – 70 women (and 2 with reduced mobility), 30 men, showed that sport is truly for everyone and passes on the true value of the Olympic spirit.

Today there was another activity at the Maracanã Cultural Center, where, during the morning there was a lecture with Commander Vladir Batalha, on the topic “Criminality and its consequences” and, in the afternoon, from 3 pm, there will be space co for more practical activities for football, athletics and basketball.
