Spain wins inaugural trap mixed team gold

Spain secured the inaugural trap mixed team title at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games by hitting 41 out of 50 targets in their final at the Asaka Shooting Range.

Spain’s Fatima Galvez and Alberto Fernandez secured the historic gold while the silver medal was won by San Marino and the United States of America and Slovakia were tied on bronze medal.

“It’s so easy to compete with Fatima and it was like a dream for me, so I didn’t feel the pressure of being in an Olympics game. We have been competing for many years together, for the past five or six years. We feel so fit together, so it’s like more a friendship competition for us.” said Fernandez.
