Taking place 23–28 August 2026 in Lima, Perú, this event is unprecedented in the history of the organization — and it marks the beginning of a bold new chapter.
Panam Sports week was approved unanimously during the Executive Committee meeting in Aruba , driven by a shared conviction: that Panam Sports must better connect as an organization and stay abreast of an ever-shifting sports, cultural and geopolitical landscape. The result is a week that condenses everything Panam Sports is — and everything it aspires to be.
Forward Together: Charting the Course
The week kicks off on Monday, 24 August, with “Forward Together” — a landmark consultation session bringing together the presidents and secretary generals of all 41 Panam Sports member nations. Together, they will design a strategic roadmap for the future of the organization: a conversation that will set the course for years ahead, reshaping how the Americas think about sport, leadership, and shared purpose.
This is not a meeting of observers. America’s leaders are not staying in the room — they are becoming the institutional mandate. The conclusions of Forward Together will be presented on Wednesday afternoon, and will serve as an actionable framework ready to guide the entire organization forward.
Women in Sports & Safe Sport Forums: Honest Conversations, Real Data
Tuesday, 25 August will be dedicated to two of the most urgent conversations in global sport. The Women in Sports Forum will open the morning with a candid examination of representation, opportunity, and progress across the Americas. The Safe Sport Forum will follow in the afternoon — grounded in honesty and raw data, confronting the realities that protect athletes and strengthen the integrity of sport.
Both forums will feature speakers and panelists at the forefront of their fields.
Executive Committee Meeting & Lima 2027 Venue Visit
On Wednesday morning, the Panam Sports Executive Committee will convene at a Westin Hotel and then travel to the village and then to VIDENA — Lima’s premier sports complex — for a firsthand tour of the venues being prepared for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games. The visit underscores Panam Sports’ commitment to readiness, accountability, and the highest standards of competition infrastructure.
LXIV General Assembly: Decisions That Shape the Future
Thursday and Friday 27 – 28 August will bring the week to a decisive close with the LXIV Panam Sports General Assembly. This gathering of member nations will make consequential decisions that will define the trajectory of sport across the Americas for years to come.
Among the key items on the agenda: the election of the host city for the 2029 Junior Pan American Games, and Panam Sports’ representation in the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) — decisions that carry enormous weight for athletes, federations, and communities across the hemisphere.
