The leaders of Americas’ Olympic Movement will gather in Miami next week to look at the big picture when it comes to the future of sport in the Americas.

Over the course of two days, 15 members of the Panam Sports Executive Committee will come together for the inaugural Strategic Workshop to determine the direction and goals of the continental sporting organization for the next several years.

Led by President Neven Ilic and Secretary General Ivar Sisniega, the Strategic Workshop will analyse the future of the Pan American Games, the organization’s planned New Events including Beach and Junior Games, as well as the Recommendations provided by the Panam Sports Athlete Forum in October 2018, among several other key topics.

The Strategic Workshop has been years in the making and will provide the Executive Committee Members with a platform to conduct a more detailed and in-depth review of Panam Sports’ plans and priorities outside of an official Executive Committee meeting.

Other items on the docket for discussion during the workshop include the continued support of Americas’ National Olympic Committees and their sport and infrastructure development and how to enhance marketing and communication strategies.

The workshop begins on Monday, January 14 and will cover two full days of the topics most important to Panam Sports and Americas’ Olympic Movement.
