Indonesia NOC explores collaboration with Education Ministry

The National Olympic Committee of Indonesia is exploring further cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology following a meeting between the two parties on Monday, 10 January.

The ministry, represented by the National Achievement Center, invited the NOC to design a festival and competition programme for elementary and middle school students.

The NOC was represented by Executive Committee member Rafiq Hakim Radinal, Secretary General Ferry J. Kono, Vice Secretary General Wijaya M. Noeradi and sports development and sports for all commission members.

This was not the first meeting between the two parties. Last year, the ministry representatives visited the NOC headquarters to have an initial discussion. The cooperation is expected to introduce more children and youth to the joy of sport and the Olympic Movement from the grassroots level in schools.
