Lassana Palenfo re-elected at helm of ANOCA
Incumbent ANOCA President, Intendant General Lassana Palenfo was today, 10 May 2017, re-elected for another four-year tenure during the 17th ordinary session of the ANOCA General Assembly in Djibouti. With no challenger, Palenfo’s election thus came as no surprise as he was acclaimed by delegates of all 54 African NOCs who had earlier met in Abidjan. After his re-election, President Palenfo immediately directed the way forward: “Olympic Africa must take its place, its true place. Our continent is a wonderful talent pool of budding champions! We should all help these young people to bloom, the boys and girls who will fly our continent’s colours. This quadrennial comes with a lot of challenges. Together, we shall rise to them as we are fully committed to the service of African youths and the Olympic Movement.”
