Lima 2019 Pan American Games Athletes’ Village refurbished into hospital

As part of the legacy of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, the former Athletes’ Village is being refurbished into a new hospital which will immediately serve new coroanvirus (COVID-19) patients.

The work is being conducted by the Lima 2019 Games Special Legacy Project and Ministry of Transport and Communications in coordination with the Armed Forces and Ministry of Environment.

The hospital will become one of the largest in the country and will help Peru face the pandemic that is affecting the world.
