
Two days left for Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games Ticket selling exceeds 350K
Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee announced that as of January 17, two days before the opening ceremony, more than 350,000 tickets had been sold.
By discipline, Ice Hockey (84,825) and Curling (60,527), which have a high number of games, recorded the highest ticket sales. In the case of games on snow with relatively fewer spectator seats, ticket reservations have been completed in the followings: Biathlon (11,106), Luge (4,315), Bobsleigh (2,906), Skeleton (2,493).
Games such as figure skating, where Korean popular figure skater, Shin Jia, is competing, and Short Track Speed Skating, where Korean athletes are dominating, ticket sales have skyrocketed since the opening the site.
As the opening ceremony approaches, the curling and ice hockey games on weekdays, which showed low reservations, has also been increased.
Games on ice such as ice hockey, curling and others held in Gangneung can be issued on-site. Tickets can be issued only for remaining seats or the cancellations.
All games are free except for the opening ceremony on 19 January in Gangneung Oval. Reservations are available through the reservation site (gangwon2024.com).
