NOCs Continue Efforts to Promote Clean and Safe Sport
On 8 October, the Spanish Olympic Committee, with the support of the IOC Olympic Movement Unit on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions (OM Unit PMC), organised a webinar titled “A clean and safe sport, without cheating or abuse”, aimed at raising awareness among national federations. The session addressed key topics such as the prevention of competition manipulation and safeguarding against harassment and abuse. It featured presentations from the OM Unit PMC and athlete ambassador Felipe Perrone, who serves as a PMC Ambassador for both World Aquatics and the Spanish NOC. More information available here.
On 9 October, the Croatian Olympic Committee held a meeting with the College of Secretaries of National Sports Federations to discuss the implementation of the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions. The discussions explored ways to integrate the Code into national regulations and highlighted the importance of establishing mechanisms for prevention, reporting, and sanctioning.
