Driving Digital Innovation at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games – A Successful Partnership Between ANOC and ISSA
At the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, ANOC and the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) demonstrated how a shared vision and strong partnership can transform the digital experience of a multi-sport event. Driven by a mutual commitment to innovation and high-quality service for all stakeholders, we delivered a comprehensive digital ecosystem empowering athletes, NOCs, organisers and fans worldwide.
ANOC.tv Studio: Bringing Athlete Stories to the world
For the first time, fully equipped video and photo studios were set up directly inside the athletes’ village, creating an unprecedented space for athletes to share their stories, celebrate their identities and contribute to high-quality content for their NOCs.
Key achievements:
- 650 athletes from 57 NOCs participated
- 1,150 videos produced in four languages
- 2,800 portrait photos captured
Beyond exclusive content creation, the studio became a genuine part of the athletes’ experience. The day after the Opening Ceremony, Inside the Athletes’ Village was launched – a daily live broadcast from the village. Over the course of the Games, 71 guests from 28 NOCs, including athletes, team leaders, coaches, and medical staff, took part in the broadcasts.
ANOC Digital Content HUB: Centralising Content for All Partners
The ANOC Digital Content HUB played a central role in collecting, organising, and distributing every piece of content produced throughout the Games. This ecosystem ensured that NOCs, ISSA, media teams and all stakeholders had immediate access to high-quality material.
In total:
- 89k pieces of content were made available
- Content included all ANOC.tv Studio output, all competition photos, and daily AI-generated highlight videos
- Each NOC received personalised daily highlight videos of all their athletes directly through the integrated ANOC.tv platform.
This unprecedented level of efficiency strengthened collaboration and enabled partners to amplify their digital presence with consistent, high-impact content.
ANOC.tv Broadcasting & Social Media Reach
All competitions were broadcast live on ANOC.tv, ensuring visibility for every athlete, sport and participating NOC.
Broadcast and digital impact:
- More than 800 hours of live coverage
- Viewership reached 162 countries
- A total of 2.7 million views across all media platforms
These numbers reflect the growing international audience engaging with ANOC content and the strengthened digital footprint of the Games.
A Lasting Digital Legacy on ANOC.tv for Every NOC
One of the most significant outcomes of this project is the long-term digital legacy now available on ANOC.tv for every participating NOC. Dedicated NOC pages have been created to host all exclusive content produced during the Games and daily highlights.
These pages provide fans, families and communities around the world with a central place to revisit the best moments of the competition and to celebrate the athletes’ achievements. This permanent digital space ensures that the stories and performances from Riyadh remain accessible long after the Games, strengthening visibility for every NOC and offering a meaningful legacy for future generations.
A New Standard for Multi-Sport Digital Strategy
The success of our collaboration with ISSA demonstrates what can be achieved when partners share the same ambition: to innovate, to elevate athlete experiences and to enhance global visibility for all NOCs and their athletes. Together, we delivered a unified digital ecosystem, from onsite studios to AI-driven content distribution and global broadcasting, that set a new benchmark for multi-sport events.
