ANOC contributes to EOC Digital, Technology and AI Commission meeting
ANOC participated in the EOC Digital, Technology and AI Commission meeting held in Madrid, Spain from 20–21 April 2026, contributing to discussions on digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) within the Olympic Movement.
The meeting was hosted at the NOC of Spain headquarters and brought together Commission members to review ongoing initiatives and align on future priorities.
Key topics included updates on IT provider agreements for the European Games, ahead of the fourth edition taking place in Istanbul in 2027. Discussions also focused on the growing role of AI within NOCs including ongoing studies and future engagement.
ANOC was represented by Andres Santi, Senior Project and Event Manager, who presented on AI usage across the global NOC community, highlighting examples beyond Europe and reinforcing the value of international knowledge sharing. ANOC reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating closely with the EOC and contributing to future initiatives, including the development of a common framework for ethical AI use.
The meeting included a visit to Deloitte’s Sports Innovation Hub, where participants exchanged and explored industry perspectives.
