ANOC Secretary General delivers update on activities at OCA General Assembly in Tashkent
ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg provided an update on ANOC’s activities to the 46th Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Monday.
ANOC President Robin Mitchell also delivered a video message to the gathering, while the Hong Kong, China NOC presented its plans for the XXVIII ANOC General Assembly which is set to be held in December.
In her report to the General Assembly alongside the President of the Organising Committee Kenneth Fok, Lindberg outlined preparations for the upcoming General Assembly providing delegates with details of the programme and key milestones ahead of the meeting.
The Secretary General highlighted the services ANOC will be providing NOCs at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, including the NOC photo programme, developed in partnership with the IOC and Getty Images, which will serve 41 participating NOCs and the inaugural edition of the PEAK Uniform programme for NOCs who have registered. She also confirmed that the ANOC Office will be established in Milano to provide on-site support throughout the Games.
The General Assembly also saw ANOC Senior Vice President H.E Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar elected as OCA President.
