ANOC takes part in the EOC Sustainability Commission Meeting
ANOC was pleased to take part in the recent meeting of the EOC Sustainability Commission, reinforcing the shared commitment of both organizations to advance sustainability within the Olympic Movement. The event was held at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee.
The discussions were marked by a spirit of collaboration and openness, focused on identifying how ANOC and the EOC can complement one another’s efforts rather than duplicate them. Both sides recognized the importance of joining forces to turn sustainability ambitions into meaningful, measurable action.
Participants welcomed the opportunity to exchange experiences and explore how existing tools, such as sustainability dashboards and frameworks, can serve as common references for progress. The dialogue reflected a collective understanding that partnership, coordination, and shared purpose are essential to achieving long-term impact.
Under the leadership of Commission Chair Anne Marie Phelps, the commission is reviewing its terms of reference and refining its targets and deliverables for the upcoming years of work. The meeting served as a reminder that together, the Olympic family can go further, turning shared values into shared action for a more sustainable future.
