World Squash signs MOU with ANOC to bring squash to new audience of over 60 million sports fans

The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and World Squash have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that could introduce over 60 million sports fans to squash via the ANOC Digital Content Hub.

The MoU marks the beginning of the partnership with World Squash, who will share digital content – including still images and videos – to National Olympic Committees (NOCs) for their own official social media channels.
The collaboration will also see both parties promote World Squash events that are part of the Olympic Qualification process on the ANOC Calendar, maximising the exposure of World Squash events and digital content through ANOC’s platforms and communication channels.

The collaboration with the ANOC Digital Content Hub envisions to create a bridge between NOCs and World Squash, increasing the visibility of squash and its athletes, as well as Olympians, to expand the reach of the sport to over 60 million NOC social media followers.

World Squash will also support ANOC to broadcast and feature live or recorded events on the ANOC.TV platform, offering new opportunities and engaging fans with an emerging Olympic sport.

ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg commented: “We are delighted to welcome World Squash to the ANOC Digital Content Hub. This partnership demonstrates the Hub’s value not only for NOCs but also for IFs looking to maximise their reach and engagement. Through this MoU, World Squash will have access to our content distribution infrastructure and direct channels to NOCs, ensuring squash content reaches fans and communities across all continents as the sport prepares for its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028.”

World Squash CEO William Louis-Marie said: “We’re delighted to be working with ANOC. Squash is on a really exciting trajectory, and this partnership will help grow the profile of our sport and the incredible athletes who play it, particularly as we build towards our Olympic debut at LA28. Critically, this collaboration provides a vital platform to engage directly with National Olympic Committees (NOCs) around the world. By aligning with ANOC and sharing our sport’s comprehensive value proposition with its members, we can ensure squash is strongly positioned within national programs and foster the crucial relationships necessary for our continued growth within the wider Olympic movement.”

The agreement underscores the shared vision of both organisations to promote digital development throughout this collaboration in line with Olympic values.
